Crash Simulation

The Engenuity, also a member of HRC group who ACTC is closely cooperating with, developed CZone technology for composite crush prediction has revolutionized the accuracy of analysis predictions, mimicking the behavior of the material at the crush front, whilst enabling the same material model to predict the performance of the back-up structure, ensuring that the deceleration response can be managed reliably. Composite energy absorbers are extremely efficient in terms of specific energy absorption (J/kg), and confidence in the analysis of these types of structures confirms the potential weight savings over metallic structures, and hence gives a low-risk path to production applications.
