THERMOSET COMPOSITES

Prepreg Compression Molding (PCM)

Prepreg Compression Molding (PCM) is a forming process for producing high quality composite parts at mass production. Prepreg material is placed onto a heated mold directly, then softened under heat. Once compressed, the mold is closed and the prepreg is forced to conform to the shape of the mold.

Process Features

  • 5 -10 mins/part
  • Interior, exterior and structural parts
  • Continuous fiber for high mechanical properties
  • Good carbon fiber pattern on part surface
  • Two-side smooth surfaces
